Welcome to Diverse City

On Friday I drove down to PMB for my friend Kristy’s 21st birthday party, and I bought myself a new tobyMac CD called Diverse City. And do you know what? I’m loving it! Completely now what I’m used to listening, but that’s a very good thing for me!

This CD was released in 2004, but it does take me a while to do things… And I do live in Ladysmith without a Christian music shop. So well done to me… eventually!

The style of this album is very different to my normal likings (whatever that means?). It’s a mixture op hip-hop, reggae, rap and rock, and I’m loving it. It’s always good to expand one’s horizons, and I think this album will be doing just that!

Holidays…

ShrekI’m on holiday! Hooray! And right now I’m busy watching Shrek! Definitely a classic… Louise is on holiday in Ladysmith, and we’re relaxing in front of the tv. That’s the way to go!

There’s one small problem, however… I seem to be getting sick! And this is the second time this winter! So I’m dosing up on Vitamin C and Corenza C. Fun, fun, fun! I’ll make the most of it though… Friends, food, coffee… Can’t go wrong!

For the love of coffee

Nescafe ClassicI’ve been thinking about my blog recently, and it has occurred to me that there aren’t nearly enough entries about coffee. That’s going to change. You see, I LOVE coffee. And it’s not just because I’m an addict. Coffee is an important part of my life, and to not mention it would be an injustice.

My favourite type of coffee is Nescafe Classic. There are some better types, but I always come back to that one.

Don’t get me wrong – even though I’m addicted to coffee, I rarely have more than three or four mugs a day. Today I’ve had three as of now – will be having more with Catherine later tonight. That’s not too bad.

If you’d like to be a friend of mine, then it’s very simple: coffee. Any time, any place, and even better if you’re paying! Even a double-thick coffee milkshake will do!

Coffee is especially exciting at the moment because it’s so cold. It warms me inside, and warms my hands too. Perfect! Really helps to get the fingers working again for typing to friends on MXit!

Okay, I believe that is enough rambling on about my love…

Birthday parties everywhere!

Well, I had a weekend choc-full of birthday parties! Three, to be exact! Yesterday was Cameron‘s first party, last night was Lorna‘s 20th, and today was Catherine‘s 31st. Shew! I’ve been terribly well-fed!

I do love socialising, so this has been an absolutely fantastic weekend with both of my loves: friends and food!

And if you’re curious to see what happened at the parties, then head over to gallery.kungpow.org and have a squiz! I’ve also uploaded a stack of other pictures that I’ve taken, so look around and experience a glimpse of what it’s like to be Dillon!

Star Wars… Bring it on!

Episode IIThis weekend I’ve been catching up on Star Wars. Started on Friday night while finishing an assignment with Dave – we watched Episode II – Attack of the Clones. I enjoyed that so much that it inspired me to continue. So on Saturday night we watched Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, and last night we watched IV and V. Shew! Going to watch the last one just now. Don’t you just love holidays!
