Hooray! Achsah came home by bus today – and surprised me! And I do love surprises! And the fantastic doesn’t stop there – we had KFC for supper, followed by LARGE amounts of chocolate, and a movie (27 Dresses). Okay, that’s enough – short, sweet, and to the point! Good night, God bless, goodbye!
Today I bought myself a new belt. Not because I felt like spoiling myself. And not because I just had to have a belt to match my clothes… Simply because my old one is just about completely broken.
So, I coughed up the ridiculous amount of R200 for a small, thin piece of leather with holes in it. Ouch. That’s a quarter of my monthly food budget! So this belt had better hold me in for at least 5 years! (That’s only R3.33 a month.)
For interest’s sake, you too could be the proud owner of a brand new belt – the lovely staff at Truworths looked in the stock room for half an hour before finding one small enough to fit my waist. So thank you to them!
All I can say is: ‘Hooray for the weekend!’ For a change I have absolutely nothing planned for this weekend. My intentions are simple: relax and enjoy myself. With a plan like that there is always the possibility of becoming completely bored, but I will just have to deal with that eventuality.
I am supposed to be in Jo’burg visiting Achsah, but unfortunately it didn’t work out – sorry Ach! I would still love to be there, but there seem to be too many things making that impossible. I guess I will have to make it up to her sometime!
So if you see this post and think it would be good to invite me around for lunch, or supper, or afternoon coffee and cake – the answer is yes, I would love to come and eat your food!
I’m on holiday! Hooray! And right now I’m busy watching Shrek! Definitely a classic… Louise is on holiday in Ladysmith, and we’re relaxing in front of the tv. That’s the way to go!
There’s one small problem, however… I seem to be getting sick! And this is the second time this winter! So I’m dosing up on Vitamin C and Corenza C. Fun, fun, fun! I’ll make the most of it though… Friends, food, coffee… Can’t go wrong!
