Wimpy!

Wimpy!

Can you believe it – holidays are just about over! I go back to school on Monday, and the kids come back on Wednesday. I’m looking forward to being back – I miss everyone there!

The picture on the right was taken at the Wimpy yesterday. I was there for lunch. And coffee in the afternoon. And breakfast this morning. I’ve just about got shares!

Holidays, here I come…

I have about a week and a half of school left this year! Hooray! Holidays definitely work for me. School breaks up on Wednesday, and then it’s just a few days of work left for the year. Absolutely fantastic!

And then it’s time for friends, food, movies and music! I can’t wait!

Just thought I would let you know…

What do I do now?

Well, exams are over! What a relief! But also, what a strange feeling. I don’t know what to do with myself now! I feel like I should be learning! I’m hoping that I will get over that feeling fairly soon!

I went back to school on Friday, and it was quite a shock to my system! I was completely wrecked by 12h30 when we finished! I think this week ahead is also going to be a pretty long one. It always seems to take me a while to get used too school again.

Last night I invited several of my friends over to watch movies – it that this is becoming a regular event. Everyone brought snacks, and Viv brought movies. We watched Mr & Mrs Smith – fairly entertaining. After that we watched the last 30 minutes of Mars Attacks. I LOVE that movie! It really is a silly movie with terrible effects, but I love it nonetheless! “Do not run: we are your friends!”

Friday

Hooray for Fridays! Okay, maybe it doesn’t have exactly the same appeal as when I’m not on leave, but there’s still something special about it!

Last night I went to see our school play with my friend Philippa – and had quite an excellent time! The young cast had us in stitches of laughter for most of the evening. And as all good functions go, there were snacks during the interval! And no, that was not my main reason for attending…

After arriving home we experienced a terrific thunderstorm. Being all alone while house-sitting, it was up to me to comfort the petrified dogs. Shame. And I had to unplug every electrical appliance for fear of it being fried. So I was really bored… All I had left was my cellphone. Luckily a friend was online using MXit, which actually helped to keep me sane. Thanks, Jan!

Chocolate…

I’m eating chocolate – one of only two non-biltong birthday presents. Nice. I should be studying for next week’s Network+ exam, but I really don’t feel like it. Chocolate is so much more fun.

I’m house-sitting for the weekend. The only problem with that is being alone – hopefully I’ll find some friends to come over and entertain me! Tonight won’t be a problem as I’m going to watch the school play (in Afrikaans, nogal).
